EarthStone tools are made from fine porcelain and the ends are glazed and fired at a high temperature. They're very strong and durable and should not break when used as directed. If dropped on a hard surface they may break or chip.
How can chips be repaired?
To repair a chipped end buff with 400 grit sandpaper. If the chip is large, apply a small drop of epoxy to fill the chip. When the epoxy has hardened buff with 400 grit sandpaper.
Can the EarthStone tools be heated?
Yes, they can be heated using a heating pad, or by placing in a microwave. Always use caution when heating the tools in a microwave! The fine porcelain clay material heats rapidly and could cause burns. All microwaves heat differently so always begin with the lowest temperature setting. Using a microwave to heat the tools will not harm them, but caution is advised since burns can occur quickly and easily.
Are the tools versatile enough to use in Cryotherapy?
Most definitely. Chill in the refrigerator or freezer for use in Cryotherapy on sore or injured muscles.
What's the most effective way to clean and sanitize the tools?
Cleanup is easy, just place in a dishwasher or thoroughly hand wash. Wiping with a pre-moistened towelette or alcohol between uses is also an effective way to keep the tools clean and ready for use.
How often will I need to replace my tools?
The tools were designed to last a lifetime when day-to-day care is used. Always store in the protective pouch and repair chips as they occur according to the instructions.
